The Nakshatra Suktam, sourced from Krishna Yajurveda Taittireeya Brahmana Ashtaka 3 Prapathaka 1 and Taittireeya Samhita Kanda 3 Prashna 5 Anuvaka 1, compiles mantras for the 27 + 1 nakshatras (stars in Vedic astrology) along with the two forms of Chandra (Soma): Powrnami (Full Moon) and Amavasya (New Moon). While traditionally there are 27 nakshatras, the Nakshatra Suktam grants Abhijit Nakshatra a special status. Each of the 28 Nakshatras delineated in the Nakshatra Suktam embodies distinct energies influencing various aspects of life, from mental and physical well-being to governance and wealth. These Nakshatra Devatas are believed to govern the Pancha Bhootas, particularly Vaayu and Varuna, thereby influencing natural phenomena like breeze, rains, and day-night cycles. Through Yagna rituals invoking Vaidika Devatas such as Agni, Indra, Vaayu, and Varuna, their energies are believed to be channeled through the Nakshatra Devatas to seekers, facilitating a connection between cosmic forces and human endeavors. The order of Nakshatras mentioned in the Nakshatra Suktam(Krishna Yajurveda) is as follows: Krittika, Rohini, Mrigashira, Aaridra(Aardra), Punarvasu, Pushya, Ashresha(Ashlesha), Magha, Purva Phalguni, Uttara Phalguni, Hasta, Chitra, Swati, Vishakha, Powrnami (Full Moon), Anuradha, Jyeshtha, Moola, Purvaashadha, Uttaraashaadha, Abhijit, Shravana, Dhanishtha(Shravishtha), Shatabhisha, Purvabhaadra (Purvaproshthapada), Uttarabhaadra (Uttaraproshthapada), Revathi, Ashwini, Bharani, Amavasya (New Moon). The aforementioned Nakshatra order differs from the General Astrology (which starts with Ashwini). The video theme is based on the 12 rashis(zodiac signs) in which the 27 nakshatras are equally distributed with respect to their positions. Each Nakshatra is divided into 4 Paadas, and each Rashi comprises of 9 paadas altogether. Copyrights of the visuals belong to "Star Walk 2" application. Rendered by: Śrī M. S. Venugopal, Śrī M. S.
