Step 2 - Measure the width in front of the handle just in case the recess is angled. The louvre blades need to clear any handles which means the frame will be fitted further away from the window frame. Take your measurements at the bottom middle and top of the window. Step 3 - Do the same for the height, measuring away from the window frame. Measure the left, middle and right side of the window. You will need to use the smallest width and height sizes to place your order. Step 4 - It's also good practice to measure the diagonals, this helps to check how square the window is. Step 5 - Use a spirit level around the window and check the level, the squareness and level can affect fitting clearance you choose deduct for the shadow gap. You can also measure using a laser measure, and in this video I'll show you how. Measuring this way will enable you to order and fit Luxaflex Vinyl shutters or plastic shutters in your window. As you can it does not matter if the window is double glazed as long as install the shutters in front of the protruding handle.
