#shorts 75 HARD Transformation 💯 When we’re in a stormy place in our lives, it’s so difficult to shake ourselves out of a funk. It can be even harder to be vulnerable and admit to others that we’re feeling off. Whether it’s the June gloom, things being slow or hectic at work, or even just being down about life, we need a catalyst to give us a jolt. Mine came in the form of my buddy @ofx_coach telling me that the world needed me to be in the pursuit of my most optimal self. Two weeks later I started #75hardchallenge and it allowed me to say “no” to the ways I had been sabotaging myself while drawing a line in the sand for what things I would say “yes” to - kind of like an exclusion diet. After creating a habit out of proper hydration & nutrition, exercise & being outdoors, reading non-fiction daily, and saying “no” to junk food & alcohol, I feel like a new human. Was it “hard”? Heck yeah! There were nights I was reading my 10 pages up until midnight to get them in or slapping my face before evening cardio sessions. I even went to @lucidityfestival in the middle of the protocol - do you know how hard it is to find time to read a book while everyone’s offering you cold beverages on a sunny day surrounded by your friends? HARD. But, in the end it was all worth it and I couldn’t recommend it more highly. Monday marks me starting it again as I head into Phase 1: doing all the same habits but adding in a 5-minute cold shower, 10 minutes of visualization, and competing 3 critical tasks to move my life forward every day. I’ll keep you updated 💪🏼
