How do you start selling on eBay, if you know nothing about eBay. Well in this video im going to give you the basics and also 10 different items and places you can buy to make the profits. Plus I will cover all the eBay fees and how to save on shipping and most importantly, how to figure out how much to list your items for. How to Sell Stuff on eBay for Beginners | 101 Guide Basics: 1. eBay is not Amazon: eBay customer doesn’t care if it's used, they are usually looking for rare items, discounts, and preowned stuff. Tip: go out there and buy a few things on eBay to get your ratings up, so they don't think you’re scamming people. 2. Listings Fees, eBay fees and Shipping fees/PayPal Listing: the average fee is around 35 cents per listing and sometimes free depending on the items. So if you're adding 100 items that are 35$ bucks, so they add up eBay Fees: they have a fixed fee of 10% and can only go up to 750 Shipping fee and Paypal fee Beg: You never pay for it Climax; just include it in your price or charge the buyer shipping Ending: that’s why shipping isn’t a big problem - Same with your PayPal fees Profits/ Money side 1. Where to find the items to list Beg: When I first starting on eBay, I didn’t have much money to buy products Climax: I sold everything I had that wasn’t an asset, so that meant around 75% of the items I sold. Ending: I took the extra money I made, between $1000-$3000 bucks and use that to buying more items to sell - Buy from thrift shops or Goodwills or even Red Cross, Garage sales - Pros: High Margins Beg: I use to go every weekend with my friend Climax: and we would go with 100-300 bucks and come back home and make an extra 300 or 1000 bucks Ending: So you can make a lot of profits if you know what you're looking for. Cons: Time Consuming Beg: we would go in the morning, usually on Saturdays because that’s when people drop their donations off Climax: we would visit goodwills all day and other stores. Ending: this process to hours, I’m talking about over 5-8 hours just looking and buying and listing was and taking pictures. - Directly from a manufacturer or a wholesaler Pros Beg: I have a friend and his name is Chris Climax: He only buys and sells whole items and he does 15k-20k monthly consistently in sales Ending: And I actually meant it at the post office. Cons: Competition and time consuming Beg: When you buy wholesale, a lot of other people can do the same Climax: so competition is high and the prices are almost the exact same Ending: So the key lies in finding hot items and then selling those. - The only way to find out is to see what's selling on eBay and do product testing Tip: when you're making this much money, you don’t need a 9-5, so it's normal for it to be time-consuming 2. How much to list them for and your Profit margins 1. Items you plan on buying from thrift shops, red cross, goodwill, and garage sales Beg: When you go to the store, always bring your phone Climax: check eBay and use the filet section and select ( sold items, and completed items) Ending: This tells you, how often they sell, and for how much, completed make sure they weren’t returned. Tip: Example: I find a camera, I looked on eBay and see how much it sells for and use my filters. - It sells for 50 - And they want 10 bucks - Factor in free shipping or no free shipping and also PayPal fees and eBay fees 50 bucks – 13% and that’s your profit ( bad at math just use an app) - Also shipping cost and cost of the item and that tells you, your profit) 2. Whole Sale: Margins are 30-40% and sometimes 20% Beg: Take into account all the fees and also how much money you want to make Climax; once you have that, you know how much to sell for Ending: it's pretty much the same thing, except you’ll have more items The best items to list ( how to get it also) 1. Buy wholesale: t-shirts and clothing, buy them wholesale from locations merchandiser 7. Garage sales: they apps to help you find them 8. Goodwill and red cross 9.
