The most professional social media network is LinkedIn. The social media platform lets you share your experience, skills, and qualifications with future employers. It also helps you build and interact with your professional network and grow your personal brand as a professional. I spend a lot of time on LinkedIn. It is a great place to learn, interact with your network, and build your story. Yes, an up-to-date LinkedIn can help you find your next job, but it is more than that. Where do I get more business value from it? How do I maximize my time on it? Here's what I learned from teaching LinkedIn to my colleagues and what I found most people need to do on LinkedIn to use it more successfully. 📒 Show Notes and Resources 📒 TIMECODES ⏰ 00:18 LinkedIn Tips: What I Learned from Teaching LinkedIn to 500+ People 01:34 Get the Attention of Your Audience 02:31 Master Your Keywords and Avoid Buzzwords 04:03 Focus on the Top Sections of Your Profile First 05:34 Secure Your Custom URL 06:05 Add a Background Photo 07:00 Upload a Professional Profile Picture 07:50 Write a Headline That Goes Beyond Your Job Title 08:09 Write a Killer About Section 08:44 Show Off Your Best Work in the Features Section 09:12 Write Accomplishment-Driven Descriptions 09:48 Your Resume and LinkedIn Profile Should (Mostly) Match 10:21 Add Certifications, Volunteer, and Language Sections 10:42 Add Your Skills 10:57 Pay it Forward with Recommendations 11:29 Check Your Profile Settings 11:44 Request Connections Thoughtfully 12:18 Take Advantage of LinkedIn Learning 12:34 Share Articles 13:11 Join LinkedIn Groups 13:30 Use LinkedIn When You are NOT Job Searching 14:04 Bringing It All Together Our mission here at Knowledge Enthusiast is to help you with weekly tips on improving your professional and personal life.
