Safest Interrail route for solo travelers in Europe I have traveled through Europe using @interraileu many times now! Here’s a route that I would recommend to solo travelers that prioritise safety on their trips. Because I’m Dutch I always start these routes in Amsterdam, but many people who aren’t from Europe fly to Amsterdam as their first destination too. First you go to Hamburg 🇩🇪 To get out of the Netherlands you have a few options. I think Hamburg is the best first stop because it’s right in the middle of Netherlands and Poland! Hamburg isn’t as safe as the other cities on this trip. However, it’s such a cool city that I still wanted to include it! Next stop: Poznan 🇵🇱 Poznan is one very overlooked city! It’s beautiful, it’s affordable and Poland is super safe. You can make a quick stop in Berlin if you want, but I advise you to stay in Poznan because it’s much safer. Next stop: Kraków 🇵🇱 If there’s one city you can’t miss when visiting Poland it’s Kraków! In November (which it nearly is) they have the most amazing Christmas market there! I haven’t been yet, but I’m hoping I can go this time! Next stop: Budapest ðŸ‡ðŸ‡º If Europe would be an oyster, Budapest would be the pearl! One of the most beautiful cities I have been to in my life. I have been there many times, but I always include it in every trip. The geographical location also helps. Next stop: Bratislava 🇸🇰 Another city on the Danube, Bratislava! One of my all time favourites. Most people visit Vienna (because it’s so close) and completely skip Bratislava, terrible decision! Bratislava is one of the most peaceful capital cities in Europe. Next stop: Vienna 🇦🇹 Just like you can’t skip Bratislava when you’re in Vienna, you can’t skip Vienna when you’re in Bratislava. Vienna is a lot bigger and busier than Bratislava, but also more beautiful! Vienna is heaven for art and architecture enthusiasts. Final stop: Prague 🇨🇿 What better place to end a trip than Prague.
