Apple just officially discontinued its last physical media interface device. It was way overpriced, but allowed Mac users an easy way able to play and burn CDs and DVDs. Physical media is an aging technology at this point, but it’s becoming increasingly important when it comes to content ownership and media preservation. Do you think the disc format is here to stay or just a niche format these days?
