Two fresh inflation prints come in this week ahead of the Federal Reserve's final meeting of the year. Catalysts Co-Hosts Madison Mills and Seana Smith speak to Jennifer Lee, BMO Capital Markets senior economist, about the outlook for this week's inflation prints: The Consumer Price Index (CPI) and the Producer Price Index (PPI). "I think a 25 basis point cut in a couple of weeks is almost like baked in unless it's something outrageously weird happening in the November CPI numbers and the PPI numbers," Lee tells Yahoo Finance. Outside of the rate cut, investors are also looking forward to Fed chair Jerome Powell's commentary as well as the summary of economic projections. "It's more important to see what they're going to say, what their communication is going to be after they make their announcement at the next meeting," says Lee. #youtube #news #federalreserve About Yahoo Finance: Yahoo Finance provides free stock ticker data, up-to-date news, portfolio management resources, comprehensive market data, advanced tools, and more information to help you manage your financial life. - Get the latest news and data at finance.yahoo.com - Download the Yahoo Finance app on Apple (https://apple.co/3Rten0R) or Android (https://bit.ly/3t8UnXO) - Follow Yahoo Finance on social: X: http://twitter.com/YahooFinance Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/yahoofinance/?hl=en TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@yahoofinance?lang=en Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/yahoofinance/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/yahoo-finance
