The government has secured contracts to build Europe's largest wind farm. It would see 9.6 gigawatts (GW) of renewable power delivered across 131 projects in its flagship auction for green energy schemes. While the number of projects is a new record, previous auctions have brought more capacity. In 2022, the Government announced 11GW of winning bids for various renewable technologies.
