We don’t get the hype around this local specialty 🤔 Part 3️⃣ of our travel sabbatical adventures in the Nordics! 🇩🇰 👉 If you love travel or want to see the realities of traveling, then come follow us @minjunandkevin on our travel sabbatical around the world! 🌎 We were super excited to try chicken salad and Danish meatball smorrebrod, which at its core is an open faced sandwich 🥪 made of dense brown/black bread that has various toppings on it, ranging from meat 🍗 and seafood 🍤 to cheeses 🧀 This dish used to be very simple food for farmers at the end of a long day, just bread with some fat and a slice of meat on it but has since evolved into a tower of various toppings and textures. Unfortunately, smorrebrod didn’t live up to our expectations. Maybe we got it from the wrong place? The bread was dry and hard, and the toppings didn’t blend well with the overall flavor palate. However, if you’ve never had it, it might still be worth trying in case you like it. 📢 Stay tuned as we try iconic Danish pastries next! ❓ Do you like smorrebrod? 👋 If you’re new here, hi!
