My wife is the "in-house" Veterinarian at the Briggs Animal Adoption Center (it's a no-kill shelter) located near Charles Town WV. Three of the kittens survived and we raised them until they were big enough to spay and neuter and offer up for adoption at Briggs. We have many adopted cats and dogs and this offers the babies an opportunity to learn good socialization skills for dealing with other cats, dogs, and humans.
