They questioned whether they had to choose between the emotional security of being debt-free and the financial security of having investments. While they chose to both pay off debt and invest, your situation may call for something different. When debating whether or not you should pay off debt or invest, it’s important to look at your personal timeline and emotional pull towards the two.
