Serving Hall, Forsyth, Dawson, Lumpkin Union County's. This is the original video produced by Epoch Media, LLC and directed by Bill Lightfoot for The Georgia Mountain Food Bank (GMFB). It was created to explain the role food banks play in supporting food pantries, and communities in reducing hunger. The GMFB is a service for the people of Northeast Georgia. Bill was on the Executive Board for the Food Bank and authored the initial Business Plan. The plan helped secure funds for a permanent staff and location in Gainesville, Georgia. The Food Bank provides a vital link between sources of food supplies and hardworking community-based partner agencies who help get the food into the hands of families and individuals who need it. Since 2009, the Food Bank has increased its annual distribution of food from around 44,000 lbs annually to over 3.2 million lbs annually.
