It is the sequel to the 2015's Pillars of Eternity, and is scheduled to be released on 8 May 2018[1] (having been delayed from the previously announced date of 3 April 2018) for Microsoft Windows, Linux, macOS-based personal computers. The game was announced with the launch of a crowdfunding campaign on Fig in January 2017, where the game reached its funding goal within a day. On February 6, 2018, the game was confirmed to be coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One towards the end of 2018.
