If the first generation Kia Niro offered people a buffet of choices, the new-generation, second-take on the formula has refined it to a set menu. There are two powertrain options available - the entry-level Hybrid (HEV) and the top-spec Electric (EV / BEV) - and two grades of each of those, too (S and GT-Line, respectively). The first-gen model also threw in a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) in two grades, but low uptake on that powertrain has lead Kia to axe it for the second-gen 2023 Kia Niro range. But prices are up by a lot, and while the new look might get plenty of attention from the outside, the level of "wow factor" you find inside will very much depend on how much you have to spend. Andrew Chesterton drove both the hybrid and EV models, but his video is focusing on the Niro Electric.
