Leanne Liddle has always called out the injustices around her. Growing up in Alice Springs in the 1970s, Leanne was deeply affected by racism and segregation. And so at 18 years old, she became the first Aboriginal Policewoman in South Australia. Then one day, what was meant to be a routine traffic stop ended in a brutal attack, leaving Leanne unable to serve and reflecting on her treatment in the force. While Leanne reflected on her treatment in the force, she decided to become a lawyer and has since devoted her life to fighting for justice in all forms.
