Welcome to the GCN Tech Show, this week we’ve got a brand new stealthy e-bike, the worlds lightest production bike and also a brand new aero bike from LOOK. We also discuss which is the best upgrade, an aero frame or aero wheels? Look of course being the pioneers of commercially successful clipless pedals. The rim and disc brake bikes are designed with aerodynamics in mind and compared to its predecessor it’s 5% faster, which in the aerodynamics world, is a lot. It’s been made more aero by some cockpit tweaking including cable routing as well as getting rid of the integrated seat mast and replacing it with a traditional seatpost, albeit with a hidden clamp in the frame. Remember a couple of weeks ago we saw those cool wheels being used by Canyon Sram in the women's world team time trial? Well if you fancy one in a 30th-anniversary special colourway, good news! Zipp is going to be selling the Super 9 disc wheel, in both clincher and tubular versions. Staying with socks the UCI have amended a regulation. Article 1.3.033 from the UCI we will see those really long socks that some riders have been using banished from the sport. The regulation has been tidied up somewhat, and the midpoint of the lower leg is now clearly being identified as the maximum height for socks. Logical, really! What about Valverde new world champs kit? Scottish brand Endura was busy making the newly crowned world RR champ his new kit in less time than it took Valverde to win the race, including going between Movistar and the UCI.
