Here is the first video that is all about my Alleria Windrunner cosplay! This is my large cosplay project for this year, and I filmed bits and pieces as I was creating it. Originally I was torn between both Alleria and Valeera from World of Warcraft, but I really loved the aesthetic ‘wood elf’ vibe that Alleria has. I chose not to make this a tutorial video, but I’ve listed some of the crafting information below. If you you have any other questions feel free to ask ~ CRAFTING INFO - The main material I used throughout this video was foam yoga mats. I cut them out according to the templates I made, heat treated them to the right shape and hot glued on details, then used a Dremel and a soldering iron to smooth edges and create lines. - I heated plastic beads to create more details and then foam clay to fill in any gaps in the armour. - I made a pattern from an existing cape and edited to suit Alleria’s cape. I used gold material to line the hood of the cape and skirt and top stitched certain areas to make it sit nicely. - I edited bought leggings to add the correct details and made a bunch of straps and belts for all over the costume. - I attached D rings and the straps to my armour so I could secure it to my body.
