This feature, already popularized by Hyundai, Kia, and Ford, allows a vehicle to both receive and give a charge. Tesla has previously directed customers to its Powerwall, but there's growing demand for the ability to use a vehicle's battery to power other things while on the road or in remote areas. The newly launched Powerwall 3, with an upgraded power capacity of 11.5 kW, could be an indication of Tesla's move towards bi-directional charging.
