This week, I wanted to give you guys a few insider tips for surviving and succeeding on your next shopping trip at the Goodwill Bins! To begin, one of my most frequently asked questions always is, "What's up with the gloves?" I wear gloves while digging at the bins for a few reasons. The main driving factor is to prevent injury from pricking my fingers on sharp objects. This also prevents illness, particularly in the wintertime when flus are going around. Finally, it gives me an additional grip that comes in handy during the busy shuffle. Next, you need to be a bit creative when you dig at the bins. What do I mean by this? Well, many of the greatest items I find at these locations were not just laying out in the open. They were hiding behind boxes, bags, or were moments away from being snatched up by another shopper. Try to be quick & creative about your efforts! Last, and most importantly: avoid the bins you see full of tagged items. Items without tags are most often those donations which couldn't be processed at retail stores. That is where I find a lot of the random antiques and ephemera that you guys love so much! Have you been to the bins before? If so, what additional tips can you share for surviving the crowds and finding the best items? I would love to hear from you down below 💛 #thrifting #thrifthaul #goodwillbins #resellercommunity
