How to Use Green Screen in iMovie The green screen in iMovie is one of those things that is not very obvious. You have to set up your timeline correctly before you can see the green screen option. Simply import a green screen or blue screen clip and add it to your timeline. Add another clip to be used as the background and bring it to the bottom of the clip. Bring the background-clip to track 1 and bring the green screen clip to track 2. Now, you’ll get a new option for using the green screen effect on the effects menu bar.
