For our first family vacation of 2023 and our 3rd annual family ski trip, we headed west to Keystone Resort in Colorado. We had a blast on the slopes and off mountain! We took a full-day private lesson as a family so we could be together while improving our skills. We tested our abilities with adventure zones through the forest, moguls, and small jumps- which the kids rocked! After lots of green trails, our instructor Maddie helped us level up to a blue trail. Bertaut gained so much confidence that he went down a harder blue trail all by himself- without one of his signature epic wipeouts! 🤣 He still gave us a lot to laugh about together. Like when he tried to go over a jump but didn’t have enough momentum and got stuck. 🤣 We loved the mix of family-friendly terrain that makes Keystone ideal for beginner skiers who want to test out some slightly more challenging trails. It’s also great for families since kids ski free when you book at least 2 nights of lodging at Keystone Resort. Off-mountain we enjoyed exploring River Run Village, where we stayed at the cozy Dakota Lodge. Soaking in the hot tub after a day on the slopes was blissful! We crossed a sleigh ride off our bucket list- which was a highlight of our trip! You definitely want to do that while you’re there- and make sure to book the dinner sleigh ride.
