More than a quarter of New Zealand adults were victims of crime at least once last year, according to a new report from the Ministry of Justice. The new data proves random crime isn't so random after all, with around a third of all crimes being committed against just two percent of the adult population. The data showed just 8 percent of sexual assaults are reported. Members of the rainbow community were sexually assaulted at five times the average rate.
