LIVE: India And China To Restart Tibet Pilgrimage, Uphold Border Peace | Vantage with Palki Sharma Amid ongoing efforts to improve relations, India’s National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval held talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing on Wednesday, focusing on key regional and bilateral matters. This meeting marked the revival of the "special representatives dialogue," which had been suspended since the violent clashes in the Galwan Valley in 2020 that resulted in the deaths of 20 Indian soldiers and four Chinese troops. The incident significantly damaged trust and led to recurring border tensions. Relations began to thaw in October 2024 when Chinese President Xi Jinping met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Russia, shortly after the two countries reached an agreement to resume joint patrolling along their disputed border, ending a four-year military stand-off. The leaders agreed to enhance communication, resolve disputes, and bridge differences, directing their officials to take concrete actions to stabilise and advance bilateral ties. During today's meeting between Doval and Wang, both sides positively evaluated the solution reached between the two countries on border issues and reiterated that the implementation work should continue. Both Sides agreed on Kailash Mansarovar Yatra resumption, cross border river cooperation and Nathula border trade. On Vantage tonight, Palki Sharma brings you the full story. ---- India | China | India China Border Conflict | Galwan Valley | PM Modi | Xi Jinping | Ajit Doval | Beijing | Kailash Mansarovar Yatra | Trade | Nathula Border Trade | Firstpost | World News | News Live | Vantage | Palki Sharma | News #india #china #indiachinaborderlatestnews #galwanvalleyfaceoff #xijinping #pmmodi #ajitdoval #firstpost #vantageonfirstpost #palkisharma #worldnews Vantage is a ground-breaking news, opinions, and current affairs show from Firstpost.
