Daniel de los Reyes is primarily a painter of portraits with one difference: the main body of his work consists of images of third world political figures and the people indigenous to those worlds. Painting mostly in acrylics, he developed his technique during the early Chicano mural movement, bringing art to the people. He captures the soul of his subjects through their eyes, and lets you into their world through yours.
