Puzzle interview questions stand out as it helps the recruiter access how smart you are and how well you can think off your feet. Puzzles Explained In This Video 1. Mislabelled Jars : You have 3 jars that are all mislabeled. One jar contains candies, another contains sweets and the third jar contains a mixture of both candies and sweets mixed in random proportions. You can put your hand in a jar and pick only one eatable at a time. Tell the minimum number of eatable(s) that has/have to be picked in order to label the jars correctly. Assume that the shape of the candies and sweets are identical and there is no way to differentiate them by touching alone. 2. Jelly Bean Puzzle : This problem is also called Jelly Beans problem. This is also commonly asked interview puzzle. You have 3 jars that are all mislabeled. One jar contains Apple, another contains Oranges and the third jar contains a mixture of both Apple and Oranges. You are allowed to pick as many fruits as you want from each jar to fix the labels on the jars. What is the minimum number of fruits that you have to pick and from which jars to correctly label them? 3. One person has some money in his pocket, He visits, four church on the way. As soon as he visits any church, the money in his pocket, gets doubled and, on his way out, he donates $. 100 to each church. in Total He visits four church . After visiting the last church, his pocket is empty of all the money, so how much money, he had initially ? 4. Given 6 circles which are arranged in the form of a triangle. You are supposed to invert the triangle and want to move minimum circles. At least how many circles do you need to move to invert the triangle ?? 5. Variation 1 : A prisoner is told "if you tell a lie we will hang you, if you tell truth we will shoot you." What can he say to save himself? Variation 2: The Prisoner have to say , ‘I will be shot dead’ If Policeman says the statement is true, the Prisoner will be hanged to death which will make his statement false. If Policeman says the statement is false, the Prisoner will be shot dead which will make the statement true.
