US Treasury Bills, commonly known as T Bills, are certificates of debt issued by the United States government that have a maturity date of one year or less. Because the lifespan of a T Bill is so short, they do not incur regular interest payments. Instead, the government sells Treasury Bills at a discount from their face value and pays the full face amount upon maturity. The difference between the discounted sale price and the face value the Bill acts as the interest paid to investors for owning a Treasury Bill. _______________________ 0:00 Intro 0:08 What Is a Treasury Bill? 1:18 Treasury Bills (T-Bill) Rates 1:34 Feedback _______________________ Talk with an advisor by emailing advisor@financestrategists.com Learn more by visiting the article page: https://www.financestrategists.com/terms/t-bills/ Check out the main Finance Strategists YouTube Page here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqScqlMRSeoHXRigrf0WxLg _______________________ Message from the founder: Here at Finance Strategists, we believe one of the best ways you can help someone is with their finances.
