My Ricoh GRii might be one of my favorite cameras. I love the compact form factor, the ability to use all of the controls with one hand, and the image quality. But the GRii is not perfect. (No camera is.) One knock against the GRii I hear repeatedly is the video. While I don’t disagree that this is most definitely not a video-centric camera, it can shoot video in a pinch. This is just one small, spontaneous example. No thought went into storytelling. I just wanted to take some clips and then piece them together into a short video, and this is the result. I used the Retro effect and left everything else as-is. Not bad, if I do say so. Again, this is not an artistic masterpiece or even decent — it’s just a quick example of video taken on a Ricoh GRii.
