The video provides a strategy for studying called "Play it by EAR." Some topics tend to appear more frequently on the exams therefore you should Expect to see them (i.e. the Constitution) and therefore should read more on this particular topic. Other topics appear every other exam or so, therefore they should be Anticipated (i.e. Suffrage). It is a good idea to know definitions and big ideas with Anticipated topics. Then there are other topics that Rarely show up (i.e. War of 1812) and perhaps they don't require as much studying on. Perhaps being able to create a one sentence summary will get you through, especially since they give you most of the information from the reading, chart or political cartoon.
