The camera sensor size, affects the composition in two ways. Firstly the size of the sensor has a direct impact on the effective focal length. So we'll take a 50 mm focal length, 50 mm focal length on a full frame camera is 50 mms. Well, Why wouldn't it be? A full frame camera has a crop factor of one as in there isn't a crop factor so 50 mm is 50 mm. Cropped sensor camera crop factor 1.5 to 1.6. 50 mms becomes effectively 75 to 80 mms. Micro four thirds camera crop factor two, 50 mm becomes effectively 100 mm. So if you take 100 mm on a full frame camera, as in you've zoomed in a bit, that's what you're seeing on a micro four thirds camera with a 50 mm focal length. I know, I know. But it's the effective focal length that's important because that's what you're seeing.
