Let us take a short walk through our ecological design process to give an idea of what we do. First step is information, data collection. This includes internet research on site and its surroundings and site visit. We fly drones to take aerial photos and videos. These then will be used to create a precise 3-D model of the landscape. We gather information on land use and restrictions, soil type, vegetation, wildlife, water harvesting potential, access to utilities, facilities, climate, local social and economic life. From the 3-D model of the landscape, we extract the topography which will be our base map to perform permaculture design on. Site boundaries, any existing structures, trees are then placed on the base map. Then comes Permaculture design steps. Threats and opportunities to the land are examined through sector analysis.
