The plain mode features five tools to aid the capture and review of images. The tools include a focus mask, an exposure warning, an exposure histogram, file info, and an alignment tool. See photographer Michael Roscoe workflow with the IQ2 Digital Back. Tap the focus mask tool once to display any air as a sharp focus in an image with the default green color overlay. Tap the tool again to remove this overlay from view. Long press the focus mask tool to access a dialog box to alter the tool settings. You can choose to set the focus mask to flash on the overlay and on the tool. The focus mask can be adjusted to increase and decrease the threshold setting for the preferred sharpness. The color of the focus mask can also be altered to one of nine tones to help it stand out against the captured image. The exposure warning tool highlights any area of an image that may be overexposed. It is the same procedure to alter the exposure warning settings as there is for the focus mask. Long press the exposure warning to access a dialog box to adjust any settings. Tap the histogram once to make it appear full screen. Tap the screen again to return to the tool view. Long press the histogram to access a dialog box. Select or deselect any of the desired settings. The file info tool displays the ISO, f-stop, and shutter speed exposure settings. The alignment tool helps keep the attached camera in the perfect horizontal or vertical position. Tap the tool once to make it go full screen. Adjust the camera and then return to the tool view via the touching screen again or by pressing the top left button.
