1. What accounts to open. eBay and PayPal, you don't need an eBay store to get started. For starters, you don't need a PayPal business account. 2. You will have limitations on your accounts if they are new, generally, on eBay, you will be limited to 10 items and/or $ 1000, just keep that in mind. You can request increases once a month. Registering with an eBay store will NOT increase your sales limits. 3. What items should you list for sale? Well, because you will be limited to those 10 items and because your account will have 0 seller feedback, you want to list the highly desirable items that are selling fast! We tell new sellers to look around your house and try to find things like video games, consoles, electronics, etc. Those kinds of items are in high demand on eBay and buyers will look for previous comments if the deal is good enough. 4. How should you list your articles? There are two ways, but now or auctions. 99% of our listings are currently listed as buy now, we only hold auctions when we want to clear old inventory. That said, when it starts, auctions can be a good way to guarantee a sale instead of waiting for a certain buyer, so your options are: list as an auction and risk an item not selling for both. money as you wish, or list how to buy it now and wait. Again, if you list the desirable items for a fair price, they will sell as you buy now, so we suggest you follow that route, to begin with. 5. How to research how much your article should list. This is easy enough, go-to items sold on eBay, order by recent sales, and take a look at what sells. Then go to the current list and see what your competition is, at first you will need to ask for less money because you are not a reliable seller yet. 6. Feedback, Just as I said before everyone starts with zero feedback, to get positive feedback from the seller, you need to well list your items, take good photos, send fast, and include a thank you note. While you're at it, buy some supplies on eBay from sellers with high feedback that will automatically leave you positive feedback, it won't show as seller feedback, but it does count towards your overall number. 7. Pictures and listings, be sure to take clear pictures, you can use a phone, I suggest an iPhone, take your pictures in square mode, adjust the brightness. Make sure your lighting is good, you can go to the dollar store and grab a white sign, this is how we start. 8. Shipping.
