Vice President Kamala Harris will be in Charlotte for a rally on Thursday, Sept. 12, and it's expected to have a big impact on traffic in the Queen City. Harris will be in North Carolina for two campaign rallies Thursday. Following a 4:30 p.m. event in Charlotte, Harris is scheduled to speak in Greensboro at 8:30 p.m. The visit comes just two days after her debate against former President Donald Trump. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said drivers can expect major traffic delays around Bojangles Coliseum throughout the day on Sept. 12. There will be intermittent road closures along several major highways, including Interstate 77, East Independence Boulevard and Interstate 277. The intermittent closures will begin at 2 p.m. Traffic delays are also expected around Charlotte Douglas International Airport from 2:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. Drivers should consider alternate routes to avoid the slowdowns. #Traffic #News #Politics READ MORE: https://www.wcnc.com/article/traffic/kamala-harris-charlotte-north-carolina-rally-traffic-impacts/275-ef021268-9ff4-426e-b72f-9452c7c1205a
