Isn't it awesome to have a kind of tropical archipelago just few hours far from home, without need to cross the world?! The fog will let the sun come out, just wait! 😉 Let me introduce you the BEST OF São Miguel island, filmed in a 10-days trip on June 2019. Just me and my backpack, tent, camera and so much need of nature! 🏕 19-21: Sete Cidades +west 21-24: Ponta Delgada +centre 24-28: Furnas +east Also called Ilha Verde/“the green island”, it's the largest of the Azores islands, a volcanic archipelago located 1700km far from the Portugal coast, in the middle of the Atlantic ocean. [✈️ 2h from Portugal or 5h from America] Such in the middle of nowhere to have its own climate, completely different from the rest of Europe. It's subtropical oceanic, basically always mild (av. 20ºC) and moist, strictly influenced by the so-called anticyclone of the Azores. Some proof of the tropical "notproperlyeuropean" stuff? It's the island of the pineapples! 🍍 and here you can find the unique tea plantation! Be careful at the weather: I swear it changes billion times a day, like 4 seasons in a row. Fog, sun, wind, rain, sun, fog.... and so on. But that’s the price to be sooo much green 🌿🌺 Watch to believe it!!
