As the weekend begins, I finally take the time to do something I’ve been meaning to do for a while — refresh the chairs. A bit of paint and new fabric is all they need. Since I’m painting them the same colour, the job is much easier. These chairs are over 100 years old and truly needed some love — a slow and satisfying project to ease into the weekend. Then we head out to Farnham, a quaint, historic town nestled in the Surrey countryside. With elegant Georgian facades, leafy streets, and Tudor-style buildings, it’s a picturesque, characterful, and truly timeless place. Known as a hidden gem, it’s only an hour from London but feels like a world away. We explore antique markets, admire whimsical doors and windows, and enjoy a peaceful lunch at a cosy, dog-friendly riverside pub. As the rain begins to fall, the village becomes even more magical. Back home, I prepare one of my favourite comforting and healthy dishes — a creamy salmon bake with baby potatoes and asparagus. Simple ingredients, full of flavour, and cooked with love. 0:00 Intro & A Slow April ,Hobbies for Slow Living 0:31 Restoring 100-Year-Old Chairs 2:17 Painting Tips & Favourite Paint 4:03 Farnham Village Walk Begins 4:19 Brocante and collectables 5:45 Historic Streets, Church, Architecture & Curiosities 10:04 Lunch at The Mill (Dog Friendly!) 13:15 Back Home 13:29 Dinner Prep Begins Creamy Salmon with Baby Potatoes 16:20 Final Touches & Into the Oven 18:28 Dinner Time & Cosy Evening Vibes 🌿 If you're looking for a place to slow down, unwind, and gently escape the routine, I hope this video brings you a bit of peace and inspiration.
