A 7-year-old boy was injured Saturday night when drones collided and fell into the crowd during a downtown Orlando holiday show, according to the boy’s mother. The Federal Aviation Administration said several drones fell into the crowd, which the city said was made up of 25,000 people. In a statement on Sunday, city officials said someone was injured during the show and nearby paramedics rendered aid but did not specify the person’s age or what the extent of the injuries were. Adriana Edgerton told News 6 her son, Alezander, was hit in the stomach by one of the drones and was taken to the hospital. The boy had to have emergency surgery after doctors told his mother the drone shocked his heart, she told News 6.
