Booker Noe created Knob Creek to restore the standards of pre-prohibition bourbon. The result is an undeniably big, full flavour that strikes your senses with a maple sugar aroma, distinctive sweetness and a rich, woody, caramel flavor with a long, smooth finish. It has a strong following and is keenly loved by bartenders all over the world and stocked by bars who place good consideration to American whiskey so it is good to know the finer points on Knob Creek. As a 9 year, 100 proof, bourbon there simply is not enough to be available to the whole international market. In fact, in 2009, there wasn’t even enough Knob Creek to be bottled at the distillery! It was the Knob Creek drought, which survived a few dry months but was available again from November 2009 when the distillery celebrated the 9 year ageing on some Knob Creek barrels. Knob Creek was named after a little creek that runs south of the distillery and was the same creek that ran by Abraham Lincoln’s childhood home. The bottle resembles the old style bootlegger’s flask which would be wrapped with newspaper to easily carry their whiskey around, or, out of a distillery that they worked at! This is why when you see a bottle, have a close look at the label, it’s an upside down newspaper print. ================= Subscribe to Drinks Network: https://www.youtube.com/user/DrinksNetworkTV Welcome to Drinks Network...where the we connect people and drinks.
