As a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategist, Annemarie's focus is to help organizations support social causes through employee volunteering, donations, and spreading the good word. Annemarie was introduced to and fell in love with CSR while working for the Disneyowned Anaheim Angels baseball team and the Mighty Ducks hockey team. There, Annemarie created team-related community outreach campaigns for companies such asTarget, Nissan, and McDonalds. Two personal experiences shaped Annemarie's devotion to CSR: first, enlisting Oakley's support to teach children from Watts how to ski; and second, taking on the most challenging endurance race of her life. About TEDx. TEDx was created in the spirit of TED's mission, "ideas worth spreading." The program is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. At TEDx events, a screening of TEDTalks videos -- or a combination of live presenters and TEDTalks videos -- sparks deep conversation and connections. TEDx events are fully planned and coordinated independently, on a community-by-community basis.
