Today I’ll tell ways to invest in the stock market, basically 7 different strategies. At the end of the day, we just buying companies shares and leveraging, but there are a lot of strategies with the stock market. 💲1 on 1 Talk + My Budget + Stock Investments💲 https://www.patreon.com/tommybryson 💰MY M1 FINANCE PORTFOLIO💰 PLUS $10 Link: https://m1.finance/fQsrul1PZcHM 1. Shorten Stocks: betting a stock will go down - Shorten a stock is borrowing shares from the broker and selling instantly and hoping the stock goes down done, so you can rebuy them for less money and give them back to the broker ( and keep the difference ) Ps: it’s a game that extremely risky and I'm not interested in and you need a ton of money 2. Day Trading Stocks: Short term holding However: - There are some people on youtube that teach this, and they talk about there is just one rule - But 90% of these people make money from youtube and selling you courses and not from actually day trading. - So be careful who you learn from Again: not my game, a lot of fees and taxes, and it's basically a full-time job, with all the odds against you. 3. Buying On Margin: Borrowing money to buy more - Basically means you leverage your portfolio, to borrow money against it, to then use that money to buy more stocks ( again this is risky ) – because of stocks keep falling you have to supplement the money or the broker will sell your portfolio Now the Common strategy is this: - During bad times, borrow on marginis to buy more bargains - And during good times pay back the money you borrow - However a lot of people go broke playing this game, of cat and mouse Tip: just because someone told you they went 100 miles per hour 3 in a row, doesn’t mean that something you actually want to try. Because if you fail, you di**( and in this game, you go bankrupt) 4. Value Investing ( story holding ) - This is basically what I do - Whenever you buy a stock you focus on three things mostly First: - Buy because you understand the business and its true value per share, based on assets and so on ( not because Bob told you ) Second: - Make sure you don’t lose money and protect yourself from losing money by buying at a discount ( if you calculate the price per share should be $100 but its 100, there is no safety, but if buy at $80, you have a margin of safety of 20% Thirdly - Focus on compound good returns, not trying to get an unrealistic return. For example: - When I buy a stock it takes hours if not months of research - Then when I buy, I buy for a discount and I hold on, until the company is no longer good ( or something crazy happens ) - And I focus on good companies I understand 5. Index fund Average or Mutual Fund active - Sounds like two strategies but in reality they are both passive ways to invest - Its just one cost a lot more money and the other doesn’t For example active mutual funds - They cost around 1-2% of your portfolio - The manager is constantly trading trying to beat the market - Which then cause you get a bunch of taxes and stats show much of them don’t beat the market Index Average Passive - This is index investing when you own the entire stock market and are not trying to be it, but track the performance - This way, you don’t sell, and because you don’t have to smart people to sell and buy - You also only pay around .10 or .25 at most Obviously: I recommend index funds over actively help mutual funds 6. Option Trading ( contracts and deadlines ) 7. Direvitive trading ( complicated but I’ll mention a summary ) 8. Commodities trading Overall if you ask me, the best two are value investing active or index funds investing passively. * PRO TIP* INFORMATION IS EVERYTHING 👕Merch👕 https://teespring.com/stores/tommybryson ✅2 FREE AUDIOBOOKS✅ https://amzn.to/2Enayo8¬¬¬ 💰M1 FINANCE $10💰 Link: https://m1.finance/fQsrul1PZcHM 🎁ACORN FREE $5🎁 Link: https://acorns.com/invite/38EYSU ⚡FREE KINDLE UNLIMITED⚡ (traditional reading) Link: https://amzn.to/2VGbxt9 👨🏽💻DISCORD PRIVATE GROUP👨🏽💻 https://discord.gg/EcZEHpA My Camera Gear: https://www.amazon.com/shop/tommybryson ✔ Help Us Reach 500,000 Subscribers: https://goo.gl/0wvm6w 😎All My Social Media😎 Link: https://linktr.ee/tommybryson *Some of the links and other products that appear on this video are from companies in which Tommy Bryson will earn an affiliate commission or referral bonus.
