At the start of the pandemic, some staff were redeployed to become Covid Leads at University Hospital Southampton. Fiona was responsible for all of the maternity services within Princess Anne Hospital and to look at how to keep staff and patients safe. We had to rapidly change the way that we do things, and we had to make some difficult decisions with regards to parent and visitor restrictions. Since wave one, we have been able to make incremental changes to welcome people back, to normalise things as much as we can while still protecting parents and their families.
