I set out to make the viral Dubai Chocolate bar recipe but after seeing how much the ingredients cost, on top of the fact that they weren't locally available, I thought I would make some substitutions. Making the pistachio cream or butter myself saved me about $10 and substituting shredded wheat for the kataifi seemed to work out quite well.
