Stars: Alan Ladd, Clifton Webb, Sophia Loren. Boy on a Dolphin (1957) was Sophia Loren’s first English Language film. It’s a lovely romantic drama that was also the first Hollywood film shot on location in Greece. Milton Krasmer delivered impressive cinematography using CinemaScope and DeLuxe Color for a super wide-screen that we have remastered and cleaned up. Loren plays a poor Greek sponge diver who discovers a priceless artifact and is caught up in a bit of intrigue. The film also stars Alan Ladd and Clifton Webb. One of the best looking color films we have seen from the 1950’s.
