As previously expected, Typhoon Ampil has strenghtened into a major cyclone but it's more powerful than forecasted. It is a Category 4 storm and is getting closer to Japan. Ampil hasn't moved yet to the Northeast as expected, which means stronger cyclone conditions could be felt in the eastern coast of Japan, including Tokyo.
