Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is one of India’s top-ranked university for Post-graduate and research studies. It has received the Best University Award from the President of India in 2017. The University is known for churning out some of India’s prominent thinkers, intellectuals, diplomats, and artists. JNU is also an active arena for political and social debates and is famous for its leaning toward leftist ideology. Established in 1969 by an act of Parliament in line with the affirmative policy of Government of India, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) comprises of 13 schools, 55 centres and 7 special centres.
