AURORA, Ind. (WKRC) - Memories of 2018 are flooding back in Aurora. They are preparing for high water along State Route 56. Sandbags are stacked in front of some buildings and signs are out in case high water closes the road. A marker at Lesco Park lets you know how high the water gets. There is also concern in downtown Aurora, which suffered heavy damage as well in 2018. Aurora residents say they are also worried about how fast the river will move when the water does come up. The city of Aurora says sandbags are available at Old Firehouse No. 2 on Center Street.
