Warren Buffett is making headline news once again! As a dividend investor, the news that broke couldn't have made me happier. Why? The Oracle of Omaha himself was being a very analytical, dividend growth investor! Warren Buffett sold out of massive positions and trimmed others. He then re-deployed the capital into dividend income producing stocks. He knows the key to a passive income cash flow is via dividend investing, that's for sure. Warren Buffett's approach to investing has allowed him to achieve Financial Freedom a very long time ago, love his value investing style! When stocks he owns are trading at too high of a price to earnings multiple (P/E), he tends to slim down or exits positions. If companies he owns cannot recover from a set-back or don't have a clear path to cash flow & profitability, he tends to exit, as well. The 4th quarter of 2020 was an exciting time for dividend investor. Even though he trimmed positions, such as Apple (AAPL), one of the world's biggest companies, and fully exited the likes of JPMorgan Chase (JPM), WellsFargo (WFC) and Pfizer (PFE), Warren re-deployed back into undervalued dividend growth stocks! What dividend growth stock was Warren Buffett buying now? Well, he took note of the Dividend Diplomats and the dividend investing community, of course. Warren was busy buying stocks, with the likes of Verizon (VZ), Kroger (KR) and two pharmaceuticals in AbbVie (ABBV) and Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMY). The price to earnings and dividend payout ratios are solid with these stocks, not to mention the build up of the dividend growth history. It's no wonder why Berkshire Hathaway / Warren Buffett was busy buying undervalued dividend stocks! How many of these dividend stocks do you own? Were you busy buying the same dividend stocks that Warren Buffett was buying? Do you still own positions in the stocks that he trimmed or sold out of?
